UPDATE 15: The Test Run

Daymakers!

I've been locked in a battle with some seriously glitchy wi-fi all morning so excuse the brevity of this update. While I seem to have service, I wanted to dash out a note to all of you.

The printing house that is handling Daybreak produced a small test run of the books to be sure all the files are correct; and in the right order, which is important too! They sent me the test run books and I wanted you guys to see them too:

I've pulled together the print numbers (guesstimating for those of you that haven't completed your surveys yet) and forwarded those, and the fulfillment information, to the printer. It's their first time fulfilling a campaign so they're working out the logistics now but I would expect packages to start shipping out by late next week. I'll keep you updated when I know more; and I'll have this test run with me this weekend at New England Comic Con in Boxborough, Mass if any backers in the area want to check them out and grab one directly.

UPDATE #15- Digital Artist Edition escapes into the wild!

We really appreciate all the positive feedback from those of you that have read your digital copies of Daybreak! #1.  Making a comic book is freakin' hard work and we're glad you all love it so far. Everything begins to get flipped upside down in issue #2 so if you think you know what's coming, you may be surprised when the road veers off.

Anyway, just a quick note to let applicable backers know that the digital version of the Black And White Artist's Edition has been released. I think you'll find Stefan's raw art to be really impressive.

Let's keep hitting them surveys! About 80% of you have filled them out now. We can do it!

UPDATE #14: Digital reward unleashed!

Daymakers!

When you check your email this morning, not only should you find this update waiting for you, but you should also find a Backerkit email with a download link for the digital version of Daybreak! #1. In fact, some of you may find like nine. I know my test email got three separate download links so it might be kinda like multiple choice. Just choose the link you think is cutest and click away.

Also, the deadline to fill out SURVEYS is going to be Monday morning, 8:00 AM EST. About 60 of you have yet to send yours back.  We'll be locking orders soon in order to keep to schedule. It's really important to New Pain that every campaign is fulfilled with no delay.

Enjoy the first issue! We're hip deep in #2 now and having a great time.

UPDATE #13: All surveys sent!

Superstitious people often feel that the number 13 is bad luck but here, in update #13, it's all only good news to share!

All the surveys have now gone out via Backerkit so please check your spam folder if you don't see one in your regular inbox.  It'll be sent from "NEW PAIN PRODUCTIONS," so keep an eye out.

About half of you have filled out your surveys at this point. If the rest of you could take a minute and do so,  we're looking to lock order totals by early next week and have the book printed and shipped out to all of you shortly after. Teamwork, guys! We can do this!

UPDATE #12: SURVEY SEZ!

Daymakers!

Hope everyone is doing well. It's a gray, snowy day here back east so I thought maybe a Daybreak! update would shine a little sunlight into everyone's lives this morning.

The funds from the Kickstarter campaign were transferred over a couple of days ago so we are officially a launch! Surveys will be sent out early next week to a small number of you (the "smoke test," as Backerkit calls it, to make sure nothing is askew) and then, assuming there are no issues, everyone will receive their survey by the middle of next week. 

The surveys will be collecting your mailing addresses and the shipping charges for the campaign. Please refer back to the Daybreak! page for the shipping costs, they were listed as part of the campaign.

PLEASE fill out your surveys promptly. We want to get this book out to you and also, for those of you that picked up a t-shirt, we'll need your sizes in order to get those printed and sent out within the next couple of weeks. 

The digital version of the book will also be released next week and everyone should, knock on wood, have their physical copies and rewards by the middle of March. Original art and T-shirts will be arriving separately from the books. I'll keep you updated if there's going to be a delay but as of now, the train looks like it's running smoothly.
